what will thry do at my check up on week 3 ??

Hi I'm on week 3 of my citalopram and need to go bk today for a checkup I just wandered what they did will they try and up my dosage ? Or will I stay on the same dosage ?

I was asked how I was feeling and when I said 'okay I suppose' the doctor said 'good - I'll see you in two months' and gave me a repeat prescription.

Very little, Beckie. It's too early to look for a therapeutic effect and so these early stages are to monitor your adjustment to the med and is it's side effects. Until you get past week 4 they won't be considering adjusting dosages on this med so unless you had an allergic reaction already which you have consulted them about or if they need to switch to another because you can't tolerate the side effects, it's really just a formality.

She said well done for taking the pludge and starting them.and gave me another prescription for 10mg she said she will prob give me up to 20 mg ? Gota go bk in a month
