Meningitis scare

I have had awful neck ache since Saturday and today I just feel dreadful, I have a headache, feel sick, have a cold and just feel run down ☹ any advice? I'm so anxious and scared I have meningitis and I am just going to collapse at work!

It could just be a coincidence. Can you actually put your chin down to your chest because in meningitis the stiffness would prevent this. neck pain is also not a big indicator of meningitis its the stiffness.
I understand your fear and of course no one on here can say if you should be worried or not. If you can get yourself into work then its not likely to be bacterial mennigitis as that hits fast and hard.
The headache etc could all be part of the cold symptoms and you may have hurt your neck as a seperate thing.
If your really worried about viral meningitis then obviously see your Dr although this is not normally life threatening even if you did have it.
