Hi everyone. Does anyone find that the weather affects anxiety levels? For instance, yesterday it rained all day and I was going nuts with really bad nerves. When it's sunny it seems easier to 'snap out of it' and think more positively. I'd be really interested to see if other people have noticed any connection. Best wishes, Maz xxxx

I hate the dark wet days. Usually Nov to Feb are very diffcult as we have shorter days. This can cause Seasonal affecive disorder for some people ( i think thats the correct term?). I think the gist is that the decreased sunlight affetcts our hormones and people can feel down during these times. I usually make a point of getting out into daylight at least once a day for a walk. You can also buy special lamps to help if you are particularly sensitive.
Yesterday I lit some scented candles when it started to get dark and i watched some comedy - positive action always works for me.

Hi Maz, I find the same but perversely any bad episodes I've had (and there have been a few) have been during the summer when it's been hot. Strange or whot!!

Hi Jo. I wonder if thats because when it's hot it can make someone hot and sweaty just like in a panic attack? Also, heat stresses the body in lots of ways I think. Maz xx

May well be Maz. Just very frustrating as I find that I've waited all year for summer to come and then can't enjoy it. Hey ho....
