Vision Problems bring back old fears

I was sitting at my table doing some work for college and looked up at the tv and noticed there was some white writing and there was a white border around it made by my eyes almost a sort of smudge around it. At first I didnt think anything of it but then i felt the twitch in my arm and this made me think of ALS. Googling led me to see that some people experience blurry or double vision and this had me really worried as this is my fear and it is really freaking me out.

That's a massive stretch to go from a little blur and a twitch to ALS.

Sounds like the writing and border caused an optical illusion where your brain couldn't figure it out. There's so many examples of how the brain can be tricked into seeing things that aren't there or smudging lines, or making them curved or... anything.

Could also be eye strain if you look at computers or phones a lot. I'm sure a lot of people are going to experience this in the future as we become more addicted to screens and our eyes get strained daily.
