Possible physical causes of DP/DR?

I'm currently being tested for Hyperthyroidism because of my anxiety and depersonalization symptoms. I've never heard of that as a cause, but my doctor suggested it. Has anyone here experienced DP/DR because of a physical cause, thyroid related or otherwise?

Hmm good question. I have an under active thyroid. And I would love to say yes but my levels are stable and have been for ages so can't see it being that xx

I guess that would make sense if an overactive thyroid speeds everything up, including heart rate. I have heard that a lack of certain vitamins and minerals can cause anxiety and depression too.
