Hi

Suffering bad at the moment with my HA.

I have had 3 uti's over the past 9 months, lower back, testical and rectal pains. Dr thought might be prostatitis causing this.
Gave me a month of antibiotics, got a ultrasound scan done on my testicals which thankfully only discovered a small cyst and slight swollen lymph node in inguinal area but nothing to be concerned about. He's also fixed up an appointment with urologist(which is next week), ran some more bloods PSA etc and they all came back normal.prostate he said is normal size. tested urine and all came back normal. just the on and off rectal pain remains.
He said he would leave this in the hands of the urologist now to see what they find and then maybe go down the neurological route if they can't find anything.

a month ago whilst this was all going on I had a stiff neck and whilst holding it stretching found a lump on my neck. Looked further and could feel 2 more. instantly consulted Dr Google !!

That was it went in to overload got an appointment with the Dr he said felt like normal lymph nodes. He done some more bloods.

The results came back normal apart from low white blood count of 3.6. he said don't be too alarmed as its been that low before and gone back up. checked the neck nodes and they are still up. As he could see I was in a mess from this he had booked a 2 week wait appointment with a haematologist to go through blood results and check the nodes.

He asked about wait loss, night sweats etc.

I told him I have lost a stone in 3 months,it's been intentional due to eating more healthier and exercising every day of the week. I have always had night sweats on and off over the years.

I mentioned that for months now I never get hungry and can go for hours with out eating and don't get any hunger pangs. Also I can eat loads without feeling full or bloated. He said that's probably the healthier food I am eating and the serotonin is mixed up because of my anxiety. keep eating healthy and often was his advise.

Told him that I have a sore throat, discomfort in my chest and mucus build up in my throat. He said probably viral as lot of it about. He never checked my chest or anything.

Dr also said the lymph nodes on my neck may have always been that way as I have had several bouts of tonsillitis and sinusitis over the years. he said I probably have never been aware of them before now and because of my health anxiety I have only just noticed them.

going crazy at the moment thinking I have lung cancer spread to the lymph nodes in neck.

Sorry if my ramblings don't make sense, I am venting off as can't keep putting all this on my wife as its upsetting her too much.

Thanks R

I have a benign lymph node in my neck. It's been checked by two ENT specialists and both agree on that diagnosis. I've had it about 7 years, possibly longer and only becomes prominent when a turn my head to stretch my neck. It hasn't grown or shrunk, every now and then my health anxiety rears it's ugly head with the what ifs but I fight it off with all my strength.

Hi traceypo

Thank you for replying.

that's reassuring,my doc suggested that he thinks they are benign nodes and I only noticed due to stretching my neck and my health anxiety.

I have one in my neck too-noticed it when I had a sore throat and my neck became stiff and tender. It's still there now but not growing so I'm trying to stop touching it!

They are probably still dealing with the infections and can take months to go down (if at all)

We are all fine I'm sure :-)
