View Full Version : Think my partner is cheating! I'm a wreck
Helloo guys... For those of you who might of seen my previous posts. My partner has always been my rock and a absolutely God send and although we recently have had a rough patch but I thought it was resolved.
About 3 days ago me and him and a shower together when I noticed scratches on his back and ribs. I pointed it out and he claims they were stretch marks???? I just walked out because different got really upset and I'm finding it really hard to cope.
I confronted him about it later and he was pretty insulted I accused him of cheating but I've been such a wreck I don't know what to do with myself!! His job means he's usually on call so it's unpredictable to know when he's going to be at work or somewhere else in my head.
He gave me his phone and said I can go through it if I wanted as he has nothing to hide and his work sheets which explain when and where he has been but I'm just not convinced.. All I can think is he's deleted messages and I can't remember exact times etc so there's no way for me to have proof
Am I just being really really paranoid? He has put on a bit of weight recently which would explain stretch marks but I'm so paranoid I just don't know what to believe!!
He showed you his phone and work sheets so either he's a total scum and an expert liar or is telling you the truth. You've been with his for a while so you have to make that call. Insecurity and mistrust can be detrimental to a relationship.

He would have to be pretty stupid getting in a shower with you with marks from something like this. But scratches and stretch marks are different and I can't say ever heard of all the blokes lifting weights that stretch marks are a problem so I think I would be looking into that as it doesn't sound right.
I'm always scratching myself in my sleep. If I need to cut my nails I can cut myself so it could appear like scratch marks. Could it even be something like that?
My sister in law just lost her relationship over something like this. She was always stalking her bf who wasn't cheating on her and he ended up booting her out. My point is if there is no trust there's no relationship. Take his word on what he says and let that be the last of it. Then if you ever find he is cheating then you cut his balls off and glue them to his forehead :)
g then you cut his balls off and glue them to his forehead :)
Well said Ms Bobbitt!

Hahaha Terry xxxxx
scratches will soon fade, stretch marks won't. Plus scratches tend to be more red and on top of the skin, stretch marks are paler and will seem under the skin.
Lol sorry didn't mean to scare you! Hehe my hubs would be missing some parts if he ever cheated. But I was serious on taking his word and accepting it and trusting what he says.

Actually Terry, I lifted weights in my late teens and if you went from very thin to bulky in a matter of months, stretch marks are INDEED a very annoying problem. They can be removed by tanning and using certain creams to get rid of them quick but most times they go away on their own.
Just to add to this anyway, Obviously the guys not cheating and why would the scratch marks (stretch marks) indicate this anyway? I made a decision long ago that if my significant other is cheating oh well, I'll find out eventually, no sense in depositing fear and anger ahead of time into something that very well may not even exist. It took awhile but Im better off.
Thankyou everyone.. I guess I'll just leave it unless someth there us more proof

But "a bit of weight"? I guess the real test though is if they do indeed look like them in which case it should be accepted as he says.
I've heard some have this problem now thanks to your post, I've just never come across it myself when was lifting. I was always a slow gainer, I've just never heard it or read it but it's obviously an issue as you say.
In my late teens I was somewhat thin and never got much gains but I did have fat on my arms, couple that with muscle growing and it did cause stretch marks on my arms and chest around my rib area.
I dunno though they did go away pretty fast however as my body adjusted proly within a month or 2.
If it were a scratch then ya it would definitely clear up far quicker than a stretch mark.
