I went to my GP but I'm still worried. Help please.

So since Wednesday I was freaking out about lymphoma because of a swollen lymph node. I finally went to my GP today and...well she said it's nothing to worry about.

She touched it and told me to stop worrying. I think she even said it's not a lymph node. Well I got a blood work done and all tests came back normal. She order USG just to calm me down and said it's not even necessary.

Here's a kicker though. I read that blood work won't show lymphoma. I feel anxious again. The USG is in 3 weeks and I don't know how to deal with this situation.

OK... nothing anyone says here will hold more weight than a medical professional telling you it's not even a lymph node. I believe I suggested that privately to you as well.

My GP told me to see a therapist because I really need it. So nothing so far.

Good advice. Can he refer you? Time to take the dragon by the horns and show him who's boss ;)

She gave some sort of paper to show them. And she told me to call tomorrow because she would ask a therapist friend few cities away to recommend someone.
