Mirtazapine withdrawal?

Hi
I have been off mirtazapine for 5 days and have increased anxiety and feeling really down.
I was taking it for anxiety but it never really helped. My cholesterol is too high now so I had to come off.
I was on it for over a year and ended up on 22.5 mgs.
I weaned off over a few weeks as per my psychiatrists instructions.
Will I feel better soon?
Not an option to go back on.

It would be best if you moved your thread to the Mirtazapine board. There are some very helpful & supportive people on there who can help you more with this. Your thread on this busy board is likely to get swallowed quite quickly but on the Meds board things move slower with more ongoing support of the more popular meds like this one.

I quit a low dose of Mirtazapine after 3 months of use... cold turkey. Had anxiety for a few weeks, then it subsided. I was on like 7.5 mg though.
