Hello,

I have seen several posts recommending this author but they don't mention which book to buy, and there appear to be several.

Is there a particular book members recommend please?

Thank you.

Self-Help For Your Nerves is the best starting point, and Essential Help For Your Nerves is kind of like an expanded version (but it's not just a copy of the first book).

There are other books, but those two complement each other perfectly.

And yes, they are very good. Claire Weekes is the only person who's ever described anxiety and depression in a logical, thoughtful way. Knowledge is power.

Not bad, considering it's the best self help book on the market by far :)

Its second hand but in very good condition. That's fine by me!

I've had 'Self-Help For Your Nerves' on my desk for months. No idea how long I have had it. Should I open it ? :)

Claire Weekes writes in quite an old-fashioned way (probably because she was writing quite a long time ago - she died in 1990) and she covers so many aspects of anxiety that I found I only needed to read certain sections of her book. However, it was absolutely brilliant and incredibly helpful. She's a hero, as far as I'm concerned.

I also found 'At Last A Life' by Paul David very helpful.
