Stopping Propranolol

Hi guys,

I've been taking 40mg propranolol every morning with my citalopram tablet for a month now and I would like to stop the propranolol. Can I just stop or should I gradually reduce the dose, and if so, by how much and for how long please?

Always get advice from your GP as members on here are not medically trained and you may have other medical conditions that would be important. In this decision.

However, you have not been taking it long so perhaps you could start by taking one 40mg tablet every alternate day for 4 days then half a tablet for alternate days then stop.

Thank you. I am only taking it for anxiety but I find it makes me miserable and gloomy/demotivated.
