Tongue cancer worry

When I was at the go recently I showed her some her some raised bits and a white lump on left side of tongue. She said she thought I had a bit of thrush and told me to get some gel. I've been trying not to panic as my dad has just died and I'm having to organise funeral. I flew to Ireland on Friday and my left ear was really painful when we landed and now I have had a sore throat feeling on left side. I'm terrified I have some type of mouth cancer as the thrush gel hasn't cleared the white bump and now these other symptoms.

If the doctor said it's nothing, don't worry! I just read about it, apparently the bumps on your tongue can just be sores, or nothing. With the throat feeling, maybe you are having a bit of strep throat? I would bet it could spread to other parts of the mouth like the tongue. Your doctor would've said something if it was anything bad!
