Amitriptyline and constipation

Been started on amitriptyline 25mg for insomnia and migraines. Had previously been on olanzapine 7.5mg but gave me really bad stiffness so GP prescribed amitriptyline inserted. Do you think the 25mg dosage I've been given is more likely to cause constipation than the olanzapine I was previously on.

Also, how long does it usually take to have an effect on Headaches?

My doc gave amitriptylene for sciatica i know its given out for many things,imonlyon 10mg at night but they cause terrible constipation.
