Hi

I have my first session tonight of CBT which I am paying for . Do you think I should ask for someone from a Psychology background

They should have appropriate qualifications to be practicing CBT. How did the session go?

Sadly there is no regulation so anyone, trained or not, can practice. The Bill of Parliament has twice been raised and allowed to expire when the session ended with no request to carry forward. 100 hours of CBT online training with an online provider and never seeing a client will get you diploma in CBT.

Joe - do they list any qualifications and what associations do they belong to?
