I have quite a few anxiety related problems. At the moment i'm having therapy and we're focusing on my OCD. Alot of my OCD behaviour seems to be about the emetophobia.

What I wanted to know is, has anyone got rid of their emetophobia by CBT?

And also does anyone know if, when I've got rid of the OCD, is it possible the emetophobia will go too? As it seems the OCD behaviour is keeping my fears going.

I have looked into exposure therapy and I just can't see myself doing that... I actually did a little exposure therapy of my own because my sister and I watched Jackass and she fast forwarded every throw up scene and then a week later I sat there with her and watched the entire movie start to finish throw up scenes and all. I even watched the outtakes and if anyone has seen that movie, when steve o does the fart mask or whatever it's called, well the outtakes of that are HORRIBLE and I watched them. Even my fiance who is fine with throwing up had to turn away, but I sat there and forced myself to watch. What I wanted to know is are there any other types of therapy that don't expose you to it, but maybe make you think a different way about it. I just don't want to go to therapy knowing I am going to have to make myself throw up or watch someone else throw up.
