threadworms

After going tothe loo this morning i found what looked like verysmall white worms in my poo,rang the docs and she said it was probably threadworms and they can give you pain in your abdomen already adding to my ibs c,has anyone else had these?
I was given 2 tablets to take 1 now and 1 in 2 wks time.
