Yep, sounds like it divalou.

I felt like this at the height of my illness, which was very short-lived compared to some on here. I think that and the depersonalisation were about the worst symptoms I had. Even now, I sometimes wake feeling that strange 'am I in a dream or is this the real world?' state. But now, usually, it lasts only a few minutes - after I tell myself I am in the real world and believe it!

I really feel for you, it's not pleasant.

lotsa luv

I can definitely relate to this one, because it comes on strong every morning when I wake up. Haven't had it all that long... a couple months, but it's severely unpleasant. The depersonalisation or whatever it's called, is my least favorite symptom of all. I do get scared of it too, afraid I'm going mental, while at the same time, I feel rather numb... kind of hollow. Turns out you can feel scared and numb at the same time.

The only thing that really seems to help me with this is the lorazepam I'm on, I generally take half a miligram in the mornings. Takes a while to work and doesn't completely fix the problem, but it does help enough that I can manage to go about my day. I think excercise may help with this one too, but I'm unsure.

I wish I had some words of wisdom or great advice to offer... but all I can say is that I relate. God bless you and good luck.
