Hey Kim
I started venlafaxine last year and it started working pretty quick and was effective. I started at 75mg I'm now on 150 but I did go up to 225mg for a while, are you switching from another med or taking anything else with the Ven ?

Hi tims I was on sertraline but stopped that awhile ago, I'm on propanalol now 40mg I'm starting on the lowest dose! I'm getting really bad again that's why they told me to go back on meds I thought I was getting better obviously not :weep:

Hi
I started on ven 10 weeks ago. Was on 2 x 37.5 mg a day then changed it to the slow release. My dose was increased 2 weeks ago to 112mg a day. I take it in combo with mirtazapine and I have improved especially with the awful morning anxiety

Kim, That's interesting is it definitely 37.5 slow release? my gp point blank told me 37.5 isn't available in slow release

Hi guys
Lan, was it adding the mirt that helped with morning anxiety?

Well I have been on mirt for a year and since adding the ven my morning anxiety isn't as severe
My GPs doesnt prescribe 37.5mg in slow release either

That would be like taking 18.75mg twice a day. I don't think they make Ven lower that 37.5mg so I doubt they make XR/MR lower than twice that to account for the minimum expected dose.

It will probably say MR, XR, slow release or prolonged release on the box.

Agreed:D I was to start 75mg XR last October, took one and it blew my head off. Asked my gp for 37.5 but haven't taken them.
