Hi,

Thought I'd post this link as it has some of the best relaxation MP3's i've tried, and they're free (excerpts from a cd I think). They're from the Northern Ireland NHS website. Most of the other's I've had I hate the voice or they just don't do it for me. These seem to work a treat. Number 5 is amazing, a different technique to a lot of others I've tried. It's the only relaxation tape that's ever left me feeling totally relaxed.

The individual mp3's are found here if you want to stick them on a cd or mp3 player rather than sitting near your pc (Right click > Save Target As...):

http://www.setrust.hscni.net/video/relax2.mp3 (Muscle Tension - Female Voice)
http://www.setrust.hscni.net/video/relax3.mp3 (Breathing - Male Voice)
http://www.setrust.hscni.net/video/relax4.mp3 (Muscle Tension - Male Voice)
http://www.setrust.hscni.net/video/relax5.mp3 (Hypnotic Relaxation)

Let me know what you think if you try them,

Jim

Thanks for these!

They're good, and I agree that number 5 is excellent

Thank you :)

Glad you like them, they usually do the trick for me.

I've tried all sorts of relaxation CD's/MP3's, I quite liked some of the 'Binaural' ones that instead of talking just play a mixture of calming music and weird bass tones through your headphones that are sposed to effect your brain waves.

I've got a white noise with binaural tones one that works quite well for sleeping if I stick that on a low volume on repeat. Especially useful for the noisy sat nights where the 'chavs' are out drunk on the streets and racing their cars up and down my road at 3 in the morning.

Are there any others that people like, that are available for free download anywhere? Would be interested to give them a try, but I don't like to pay for stuff as I'm a bit of a miser!

Hi Jim, i find some of these helpful, particularly Claire Weekes. Hope it's ok by admins my posting this link but the downloads are free.

Let me know what you think.

I think I might have those somewhere already, I'll have a check through.

Trouble with most of them is they are american, i don't seem to get on well with an american trying to get me to relax, lol. :p
