worried about my mum(acid reflux)

recently, my mums weight has gone up again, and she is overweight.

she has started to get acid reflux a couple of times a week it seems to have bee, for a while now? months at least.

she has no other symptoms except this reflux she's getting, is it likely to be anything bad?

I am urging her to go dr's as soon as possible, when I think of it it is really worrying.

the reflux is only when she lies down in bed too soon after eating, not having waited the full 3 hrs or she gets hungry so has cereal :/


can anyone reassure me bout this ? i am very worried.

I have reflux and am on meds for it, had it since my 2nd pregnancy, it's nothing to worry about, I expect they will just give your mum some meds too, in the meantime she could try some over the counter stuff

I have reflux and a lot of mine is when I'm in bed too. I too go to bed to early after eating but I have a different issue which makes me eat late (plz don't ask!).

Why would you think it's not just reflux?

It's painful but not life threatening. Plz stop worrying.
