What's the difference between the absolute numbers and the percentage in the blood exams? I have a slight monocity above the normal percentage, but the absolute numbers is within the normal range. How can this be possible?

I just went over this today at my GP's office. Many things in blood work go hand in hand. One reading is totally dependent on another reading and many depend on the other. So depending on the aspect being measured, the actual reading may be within norms but the percentage can vary based on other readings... at least that's how it was explained to me... makes sense. What counts is your GP is happy with the readings. Keep in mind ranges are just that... ranges. What's normal for one person may be different for another.
