Stool question

My stools are loose in the morning but normal snake like in the afternoon. When they say persistent loose stools is worrying would that be all the time and not loose in the mornings and normal in the afternoon. If it was cancer would they be loose all the time ?

I think this is one of those medical things that are very confusing. I think it's more significant if it's different from your normal habit and lasts for more than 3 weeks or so. I'd be inclined to see my GP. I had a bit of obvious bleeding and a couple of weeks of loose stools and the GP referred me to a consultant under the 2 week rule. I had a colonoscopy and just piles were found and no obvious reason for the loose stools. I must say though that everybody seemed much more worried about the bleeding.
