Stool

Hi. Please help. There were hard peices in my stool. Not separate peices but within/on the stool. What could these be? I did not see them only felt them. Thank you.

Constipation is an ongoing process, your stools don't become hard balls from one second to the other, they do so slowly. If you push them out in the middle of the constipation process you'll have a mixed sample, with some constipation forming but not complete.

Actually, I don't know of any pathological condition which causes hard lumps inside the stools, it's either undigested food or constipation.

I never felt what you described but I had some weird stools in similar fashion. Like very dark brown dry hard balls constipation and very yellow undigested watery diarrhea smorgasbord, all in the same toilet trip. Also had mixed stool sometimes, stool which had dark brown hard surfaces and watery yellow soft surfaces on the same stool piece.
