Dizziness

Can citalopram make one feel a bit dizzy at times? Since I've been on 20mg I've had the odd occasion where I've felt a bit dizzy, a bit off balance and light headed. It passes pretty quickly but I didn't get it when I was on 10mg. Is it a recognised side effect? :wacko:

I'm having it constantly the past two weeks since starting venlafaxine which is basically the same as an SSRI at the dose I'm on. I am hoping it will wear off when things settle down. I think dizziness is a common effect of most antidepressants and the like. It may also be surges of anxiety still?

Yes, it made me dizzy on occasion - like you say it comes and goes pretty quickly but it's not pleasant when it happens. Lasted into about week 3-4 for me but not had for a couple of weeks now.
