So recently I have been having HA, as I have posted on this site before, dealing with Lung Cancer. I had a chest Xray done in early June, came back super clear. Just when my anxiety was fading and I am feeling better, I notice that I am spitting up blood when I wake up in the morning. Not from coughing, as my cough has normalized and is fairly infrequent and nonviolent now, just plain allergies. Normally my saliva is just tinted red, but last night there was a lot. Plus the right side of my neck is sore, more like a muscle pain not sore throat pain, which I believe is a swollen lymph node. The pain started two days ago, after I was feeling around my neck for bumps, for what ever reason. I do not feel anything abnormal so I figured my pain came from my prodding and feeling around somehow irritated the nodes. But now with the whole blood in the saliva thing, I am getting concerned. I had an endoscopy 2 years ago where nothing was found, so I don't think a tumor could have grown so quickly, but you never know. I recently visited the dentist and recommended that I have a deep clean because I have a lot of tartar build up, and light gingivitis, overall he said my teeth weren't that bad of shape. This could explain a little blood, but I don't know about all that that I spat up last night. Anyone have experience with throat cancer? All I have is a slight cough which the doctor said was post nasal drip and allergies, and now the blood and neck swolleness. No sore throat, no visible deformaties of the neck, I cannot feel any bumps or out of the place anything in my neck. I can breath fine through my nose and mouth. Am I being paranoid, or is the blood just from my gums from brushing and flossing too hard? Good grief, I miss the days when I worried about work and finances, and not fatal diseases.

I'm a head and neck cancer survivor. What you describe sounds dental related.
