Does anybody know if this gets backdated? Or will they just divide my entitlement over each remaining week from the day my claim is processed?
I am currently reclaiming due to a change in circumstances and need to borrow money in the meantime, however if Tax Credits don't backdate it, then I won't be able to afford to pay back what I lend. It's been 3 weeks since I last had a payment so I'm hoping when I do eventually get a payment it will be 3 weeks worth. That way I can pay my relative back and also have a bit extra as I need to use my ESA to pay all my essential bills. My first ESA was only a part payment and it won't last me another 9 days.
In the past I usually get multiple payments at once, however a few years ago when they forgot to process my renewal (I did it over the phone) I lost a weeks payment (it was divided up into remaining weeks of the year) and I was left owing a relative a weeks payment of tax credits.
