Is it possible to have cancer for 5 years with only the odd symptom without being very ill?

Possibly a stupid question but anxiety is high

Any thoughts?

I would say probably not. You'd be extremely ill by now, or not here at all IMO.

Cancer is a progressive illness that starts out bad and gradually gets worse.

No, it's really not possible.

Anyone have any advice on how to stop these thoughts? As soon as I wake up the anxiety and fear hits me. Trying to keep this away from my children but I'm sure they can tell there's something wrong
