Hi, I'm having a bad spell of HA just now and I feel like I'm in a constant high state of anxiety. I check my pulse and it's normal but I still have all these anxious feelings. I catch myself not breathing at times, like I'm subconsciously holding my breath.

I'm barely eating as my appetite is gone completely, I have to force myself to eat. I think I'm probably averaging about 700 calories per day and as a result I've lost 12lbs in three weeks. This happens every time I go through anxiety like this.

So, is it possible to be constantly anxious?

Yes I certainly believe it is, I went through similar a few years ago, looking back I was anxious 24 hours a day for a long time.

I've posted this many times....

Your anxiety is like a campfire. When it's bad, the fire is blazing. When it's not so bad you still have a bed of hot anxiety coals just waiting for a little fuel to start burning again. It takes a while for those hot coals to finally go out.

So yes, you can be constantly anxious.

Thank you,

It's trying to stop the flames from growing that's the problem right now. Struggling a bit
