How to talk to parents?

I've decided I want to ask the doctor about a mole as the arm it's on has been aching and I'm very worried. I don't know how to tell parents this as I know they'll worry and give me sympathy I don't want. Does anyone have any advice how to downplay this and make it seem like casually checking something out?

There's a good chance it is nothing, so just be honest.
