Humming inside head

Hi all fellow cant sleep people :/
I have humming inside my head now for past couple of weeks, doc says its due to stress but of course im thinking its something awful :(
Suffered with aniexty over health for yrs but been well for a long time ( at least a yr) then out of no where this has started and my aniexty is awful, i have a few things happen over past few months and i think its all caught up with me, been referred for cbt but its this humming thats driving me crazy!! I can hear it when ever its silent so night times are not good! Tried sleeping with tv on tonight but still can hear it.
Has anyone had this? Never had it before:(

I'm a lifelong tinnitus sufferer, that seems to have become stronger as the years have gone on.

It's much more apparent in quiet moments, eg when you are lying down to go to sleep, or waking up.

For the vast majority of people, it doesn't signify anything sinister - you just have to learn to live with it.
