Band like feeling under ribs

Hi

So recently Ive been having a dull pain beneath my ribs which goes from one side to the other. It feels like a tight band under my ribs.

Im convinced I have an enlarged liver and spleen after being a heavy drinker for many years.

Bloods tests are all normal. Ive had a chest xray and this was normal too.

Can anxiety give you a crushing feeling around the bottom of your ribs?

Sounds like IBS. It's common to experience pain, discomfort and inflammation of the intestine (I forget if it's the large or the small) that runs just below the ribcage.

Naturally nobody here can diagnose you, but that's what it sounds like.

If your bloods are normal and have had an x-ray, i wouldn't worry about your liver or spleen being enlarged as this would show up on your bloods...

This feeling could be down to tension from anxiety

Ive had that tight band feeling before. X

I do have IBS too, diagnosed at the grand age of 43 with a colonscopy!

I just feel my body is constantly letting me down.

Have you had your gallbladder checked? That bandlike pain is typical of gallbladder.
