Basically what the title asks. I cannot stop obsessing over these things. They are on both sides, right and left.

Lymph nodes swell due to them detecting a localised infection. It's one of the most common reasons for them to swell. So, those near to a throat infection can swell up and doctors have long included examining them to help diagnose suspected infections in those areas.

And strep throat is emerging as having links to OCD spikes in children so it's also possible someone with OCD might find a rise in anxiety with it, although I think it's still subject to research or was last time I read about it.
