I have had my tongue pierced for 20 years and the past 3 days it feels sore and there is a raised lump at the front. I took the piercing out and there was calcium build up at the bottom of the stud. Gross I know! I have put it back in and it feels slightly better. Should I leave it out? Or keep it in? I'm worried about an infection not being able to get out. What could it be as it is very sore. Thanks in advance.
