I struggle to choose what to do to relax, part of how my head works. I also struggle to read full length novels currently, I cant keep the plots in my head.

So currently I end up reading short stories or short books (novellas), Does anybody have some good recommendations for collections or novellas that they have read.

If you like left field stories I recommend 'Instruction Manual for Swallowing' by Adam Marek.

The only short story I've read that I enjoyed was Stephen King, '1408'.
