Blood clot in leg

For around 4 months now I've noticed that my left calf gets swollen after work. It's noticeably bigger than my other and measure 2cm bigger. I am very concerned this might be a blood clot. I'm on the pill so my risk of them is slightly higher. Today I've been suffering chest pain when I walk which I'm worried is the blood clot releasing to my lungs. Can you have a blood clot in your leg for months without knowing? I am supposed to be going on a plane next week so I am concerned.

I know sometimes the symptoms of a blood clot can be pretty vague. I had this fear for a while as well. Maybe go to an emergency room? They did blood work and an ultrasound on me, and i was fine! They can ease your fears, if you are truly worried.
