I just woke up with my heart feeling weird. Like it was twitching. Then it started to race. It hurt my chest.
I did have a scare/emotional upset before I went to sleep. Could this be causing the racing heart to happen??
My son came home from school with bug bites. And he's acting not himself and claiming his head hurts. So I freaked out internally I didn't want to scare him. I checked the bites and they were swollen bad I put this bug bite ointment and the swelling went down. I'm having him sleep in my bed next to me so I can keep an eye on him. My husband said that he saw our son twitch and that I then woke up. And told be that's probably what I felt for the twitching. And then I just got scared and my heart raced. But why would it hurt my chest??

Sounds like you are just a bit on edge, and getting into a panic.

You wouldn't ever feel your heart 'twitch'. But if that is what you thought, then that would trigger panic, and get your heart racing.

That can occasionally cause pain and discomfort.

Cyclists call it going into the red. Its when your heartrate spikes, and gets close to max BPM. It happened to me a few weeks ago, and I was definitely in pain for a little bit!

Its nothing to be concerned about. Try to relax.

Really never heard of it. Today in the morning I felt off the whole morning. Then okay but I would feel like a twitch near my heart followed by dizziness

It's anxiety. You've described the morning after the night before scenario, tough day followed by a wake up with heart thumping/twitching/doing all manner of odd crap. It's a muscle, tension caused by anxiety will make the chest wall hurt. Gentle breathing helps, and ignoring random stuff does too x
