"Anxiety is not an illness so cannot be cured."

This sentence appeared near the start of an NHS produced leaflet entitled "Prisoner Anxiety." I have heard a GP say the same thing
:scared15:

If you start arguing on the definition of words there may be a point, but this is not the kind of remark you ne3d in a self-help manual.

I just wondered what others think

This is just a wording thing.

Anxiety in the context we are discussing is a disorder and as such it means returning to parameters considered normal.

Maybe it needed to be written better?

WHO classify all anxiety disorders within their literature so they are considered medical issues as Mental and Behavioural Disorder.

Anxiety is a state, and a feeling, just like happiness or anger.

Anxiety is a perfectly normal response to certain situations.

Anxiety Disorder is where it becomes the predominant, all consuming feeling that affects the quality of our lives.
