Weird rash after sore throat?

I had a mild/moderate sore throat recently for a few weeks. It's slowly subsiding, however the weird red marks it made are not completely clear (they are faded for sure, but seem to be staying around.)

Is this a bit weird? Or do you think they'll fade over time. Don't feel like I need an antibiotic (and don't like taking them for nothing)

I'm sure there is nothing to worry about, and if you've had a sore throat for a while I'm sure the redness would take a while to vanish, but we can't diagnose a sore throat for you over the Internet (this isn't a medical forum so no point posting images for diagnosis) so best to go to the doctor or pharmacist for them to have a look. But I'd be thinking check it doesn't need antibiotics, not check for anything sinister.
