Hi All,

I'm feeling really fed :shrug: up as I keep worrying all the time. My head is so full of lots of what if's. :wacko:


I'm going away touring the Scottish Highlands over Easter and I'm really looking forward to it but on the other hand winding myself up loads to! :blush: GRRRR http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_1_28.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZCxdm594YYGB)

My main concern is I'm putting our 3 rescue cats Snoops http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_1_9.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZCxdm594YYGB) Sausage http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_1_29.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZCxdm594YYGB) and Tontohttp://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_1_10.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZCxdm594YYGB) in a cattery. This is the first time we have left them. It is a really lovely cattery though and the woman and man that run it are so very lovely. It still doesn’t make it any easier leaving them though. I feel so dam guilty. I just pray they will be ok. I get so frustrated cause your supposed to go on holiday to relax and enjoy yourself!!! I'm my own worst enemy me! LOL

I remember feeling just like you when i had to put my dog in the kennels, but she was well looked after just like your pussy cats will be.

My cats (no longer with us, but lived to ripe old age) had a few holidays at the cattery and always seemed to enjoy the change like we do do on holiday, I'm sure they were always pleased to get home, but the cattery never did them any harm. I'm sure they will be fine.

I'm trying to banish the words what and if said together from my mind ! lol

Just an idea but can someone not look after them at home.

We have a young girl over the road that comes and cat sits when we go away. We didn't know her at first but one of the neighbours suggested that Lucy wouldn't mind doing it so I went over and asked and she was more than happy to.

Just wondering if you have someone that you could ask too?

Hi Nic, We don't really know anyone here apart from a lady who works voluntary at the Cats Protection and she has looked after them just for a day for us before. We mentioned to her that we were going away but she said they will be fine in the cattery so i don't think she was to keen. She is quite eldely though so we didn't want to impose really. I'm sure deep down they will be ok I'm just a born worrier me! That where all this anxiety comes from I'm sure! im so sorry your going through such a bad time.

I have four cats and i love them like my children, i treat them like babies and they are with me all the time.
I have just had to leave them for 1 month, it broke my heart to go. i thought abot them all the time i was away. I didnt use the cattery because i dont ike them, but you will go away knowing that they willl be there when you come back, fed well and safe.

My heart goes out to you.

Try andd go away witth a good heart and try to enjoy yourself, my break helped me.

I don't have any animals but I can understand how you feel with all the 'what ifs' .

I'm due to go on holiday on Easter Sunday and have mixed emotions - looking forward to it but apprehensive at the same time:huh:. What are we like eh?:shades:

Hope you can get sorted with your moggies, that should then be one less worry. And go and enjoy your holiday - it sounds absolutely great! Loved touring Scotland a few years ago, hope to go back sometime.

I feel so at home here - surrounded by crazy women lol !! Where do you get all the extra smile thingies from??? Are the NMP ones breeding? :blush:!
