Weird sinking feeling?

Hi all,

Lately I have been experiencing this strange sinking feeling that begins in my head and makes its way down to the body. It's like the ceiling and all above is falling down on you and you're sinking into the ground. Just wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar when sitting/laying down. It results in having to get up and it does feel very scary.

Any tips on how to get rid of this because it stops me from sitting down and enjoying everything, as it results to me starting a panic attack.

Would really appreciate some thoughts on this.

I haven't had exactly this but perhaps a similar feeling when walking like my feet are sinking into the ground. I think all these feelings are anxiety related. Just like feeling dizzy. I am sure that's all it is though not pleasant!

Try sitting with the feeling and then realising nothing bad happens and hopefully you will be able to enjoy sitting again.
