Council made a mess of my property

Im stressed as the council have made a mess of my flat. I stay in a private flat but the one above is council and has been rough casted but I have cemente all over my brick work and it needs cleaned and it won't come off. I fear it may be a repaint job which will be a big task so I'm worried when it will get done or if it will get fixed properly. Its on my mind 24/7 right now can anyone help?

Could you not get in touch with the council in question and ask about the mess phil.
If they have made it, then they should put it right.

I agree with Magic, the council have a duty to put things right if they cause problems, dont worry too much I think they will be straight on to it when you tell them. They can't just fob you off with a lame excuse like maybe a neighbour on their own would.

They should fix it but I don't think they will.

Im OCD so I'm worried if it was repainted it wouldn't look as good.

With my anxiety its all that's on mind on a loop feel my house has been ruined. :blush:

I would definitely ring the council and just explain what has happened. They may not even be aware of the mess. There are solutions they can use to get the cement off the brickwork, so it should be an easy job for them.

I agree with Almamatters. I'm sure the Council are unaware of the mess (the workmen wouldn't have told them!) State the problem & ask for the mess to be put right. Alternatively put it in writing.
