Sudden anxious feeling

I don't know what this is but sometimes I'll be sitting and then out of nowhere I'm startled by this jolt of anxiety in my chest. It doesn't feel like heart palpitations so I don't know what make of it. Usually, when this happens I'll end up stopping what I'm doing and checking my heart.

Like you my anxiety symptoms come out of no where even when I am sitting relaxing not feeling stressed or anxious at all. My friend also suffers from anxiety and she asked the doctor what are the symptoms of anxiety because she was concerned about her heart thumping and he said good heavens we will be here till xmas if I try to tell you just what people experience living with it she has experienced symptoms that I haven't and I have to deal with things that she doesn't the more attention we pay them the worse they seem to get but I think its best to just carry on with what you are doing because they will pass easier said than done I know
