Long post sorry
Most of you know me on here now so briefly what started as bleeding from my bottom back in April, paid to see a private consultant and nhs sigmoidoscopy didn't show anything. Since then particularly the last few months this month is worse my tummy isn't good.
I was getting bloated all the time, having a horrid tummy cramp and having to run to the loo. Doctors diagnosed IBS and suggested fodmap diet which I follow as best I can. It had definitely got rid of the bloated and I've started to lose around 3lb a week, I'm telling myself this is because I'm not eating hardly as much as I did or bad stuff.
But the cramps and rushing to the loo haven't stopped even though I'm not really eating crap. Two days of being ok then around 6am this morning I ate a small Cadbury freddo, literally standing in the kitchen just a minute ago and bam cramp run to the loo!!
I've lost count how many times I've been to the doctors and seen different doctors. The consultant discharged me after my sigmoidoscopy so I never got a chance to speak to him about the other issue that had arisen since I paid to see him. I'm hoping to go to the doctors again tomorrow to ask if i can be referred to the gastro specialist on the nhs but I fear they will say no. I can put it on a credit card to see him again but I can't afford treatment, a colonoscopy is about £1500 i think.
Thank you for reading I feel like I'm going nuts.
Xx
