I have done so many test blood tests, Ct scans ecg, and everything under the sun from Start of Jan. Everything has come back normal, except they said I have some kind of infection which they never told where it was. A couple of weeks ago they still found an infection after another blood test and another doctor said I have an inner ear infection, they say this is causing my dizziness, now I have taken antibiotics and some other tablets but still am feeling dizzy or this brain fog feeling that wont go away. When It first came on I had full on panic attacks, then as several months have gone on all I am left with is the brain fog/dizziness. Last Sunday I got a panic attack after several months but my main concern is getting rid of this brain fog which I cannot go out anywhere without feeling so strange and weird and just unreal. I want my life back, i am just so fed up of trying everything!!!! So is this feeling anxiety or has it got to do with the infection?

Hello !
I know just what you mean - I keep getting repeated infections and major panics and feeling like I'm walking round with a head full of cotton wool ! I recently tried some homeopathic ARNICA tabs and that really helped. I'm all in favour of trying the natural stuff - might be worth giving it a go ? Let me know how you get on.

Hey.

My panic attacks started as a result of an inner ear infection. I never had antibiotics and I guess it just got better by itself, but I do understand that horrible 'cotton wool' head feeling! I think it's hard to distinguish between anxiety dizziness and ear dizziness. Did you get any exercises for the ear infection? I had to do all this 'Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy' to improve my balance. After doing that, I was able to tell what was panic and what wasn't. If you're interested I could look up the exercises I had to do? But you do have to do them twice a day for weeks....quite a commitment!

Anxiety can also make you feel very 'unreal' and learning that it is just anxiety is helpful. If you are still concerned about your ears, get your Doctor to check you out. They can't 'see' an inner ear infection, but they should be able to do blood tests to make sure it has gone. If you are still worried, ask for a referral to an ENT specialist who will check you out good and proper.

Good luck :)
