Citalopram and the contraceptive pill

Hi,

I've been taking 20mg for a couple of years now along with the contraceptive pill, however I stopped the contraceptive pill a couple of months ago as I ran it and have just started taking it again a few days ago and I've been feeling really low. Had anyone experienced this before, I wasn't sure if I was having a blip or if it was something to do with stopping the pill for a bit.
Any help anyone has would be brilliant thank you

Hi carol,

I don't have any personal experience with this but as the contraceptive pill messes with hormones I think it could certainly be possible. I know a lot of people struggle more around their period time which is all hormone related x
