I'm a 28yo white male with a history of high blood pressure. I am currently taking 50mg daily Metoprolol (beta blocker) and 10mg daily Escitalopram (SSRI). My GP has diagnosed me with GAD and Depression.
This morning I woke up with an extremely strong pulsing feeling in my abdomen. I'm fairly certain what I was feeling was my pulse. It didn't last very long, but it was concerning so I decided to google it for reassurance. Well that didn't go very well. I got a bunch of articles on Abdominal Aortic Anyuerism.
I know I am young and I've never smoked.
But I'm being treated for High BP, and I've had other symptoms including abdominal pain and back pain.
I've been having other GI problems, possibly due to the SSRI, which is what I had been attributing the abdominal pain to.
And I've had lower back problems my whole life.
But AAA is such a terrifying thing that it is very difficult for me not to fear the worst.
I have an already scheduled appointment in 6 days, I don't know whether I should wait it out or rush to urgent Care right now.
