Scalloped tongue :(

I noticed at the start of the year (as my HA hit an all time high) that i had a scalloped tongue. This seems to ha e gotten worse recently. I foolishly googled non stop and have now convinced myself thanks to Dr google that i have HIV...does anyone else have experience of a scalloped tongue? Please help :(

Well if you have a reason to suspect you have HIV (have had unprotected sex with multiple partners, have shared needles, etc.) then you should get tested.

But, I have had scalloped tongue before from clenching my teeth and jaw. Do you push your tongue against the back of you teeth when stressed?

Thank you for your reply! Yes I do! I didn't think pressing against your teeth would give you teeth marks like that though?! I find it is worse in the morning or when im dehydrated?!

Yup, a clear sign of clenching your jaw.
I had a really bad scalloped tongue last year. Still have it a bit now, but not as bad. I still clench my jaw, just not as much as I used to.
I think a lot of people with anxiety have a scalloped tongue, from jaw clenching.

I saw a ENT specialist about this three years ago and he said it was from biting my tounge in my sleep.
