This fear is consuming me and was hoping for some positive stories from others who've gone through this and maybe some reassurance while I await a doctor appt tomorrow. I found a small pink bump on my left forearm early October that I thought was just a bug bite, but over the course of 2 weeks it got bigger quickly and was obviously not a bug bite. My anxiety and OCD kicked in and I tried popping it and clear fluid came out and the area became flat.
I thought that was it but over the next 10 days the scab fell off but the area around it was still very pink and looked to be growing puffy like it was trying to come back. I freaked out a little and scraped it to make it go away again, but it just doesn't look like it's getting better. I've tried Neosporin and hydrogen peroxide and bandaids but other than the scab sort healing the spot is showing no sign of going away. I'm terrified that it's nodular melanoma, the most lethal type of skin cancer. Please can anyone help me?? :weep:
