Hi,

I've been on 15mg Mirtazipine and then 30mg Mirtazipine for several months now.

I love that they make me sleep soundly but I still feel depressed from time to time. I sense that I probably either warrant an increase to 45mg or a combination with another drug.

I'm interested to hear from folk on 45mg and/or who use it in combination with another drug i.e. Venlafaxine.

Venlafaxine is often combined with Mirtazapine and can be quite effective though I'm not sure if that's more for depression or anxiety? I'd be reluctant to increase the Mirt. Remember it is normal to have ups and downs but if you are overall better maybe you don't need more meds?

I've combined mirtazapine with many different drugs over the years:

citalopram
duloxetine
buspirone
atenolol
pregabalin
amitriptyline
trazodone

The last 2 worked the best for me: mirt with amit, and later (currently) mirt with trazodone.

Good luck.

I take mirtazapine combined with pregabalin, though that's mostly for anxiety, not depression.

I've been taking it with venflaxine as my psychiatrist said it was a good combo. Its early days yet though so I can't really say if it works.

I've been taking the two together since 2013. I still get anxiety but the depression is very mild to almost absent. Of course, ADs affect people differently but hope it works for you :)
