Anyone had this and what were the symptoms?

I have. My major symptom was simple: pain. My chest would hurt on the left side, typically right near the sternum but on occasion my side/back would hurt too. The pain intensifies if you press on your ribs right where they meet the sternum.

It's not harmful but it can really be painful and it's no fun at all.

I have had a back pain for about 6 weeks and now my arm and side are hurting on and off. When i first get up it's not too bad but as soon as i do anything it aches all day. Ibruprofen isn't doing anything either. If my OH rubs on the ribs at the back it's really sore.

Same symptoms as me Zippy, it can be very sore x

My doc explained that we have nerves that run around our ribs, which is why back/side can start to hurt.

He suggested Aleve to take the pain away (I believe that would be naproxen for you). Wet heat is also helpful.
